The Project
When designing a bathroom to include a freestanding statement tub, walk-in shower and plenty of fitted storage, it can be tempting to go overboard. But for Michelle Katz and the team at Q Design House of Richmond, the end result is elegant, tranquil and understated in the best possible way.
It's this natural stone and leaf detail that enhances the design so beautifully. Mizu and Aliseo are the perfect balancing act with their authentic classic white marble look and delicate veining that blends effortlessly as one. Practical and relaxing, the room oozes charm and sophistication, creating a perfect space in which to unwind.
“The goal with this project was to create a style that is light and modern but still with a non to traditional English details,” explains Managing Director Michelle Katz. “We wanted to create a beautiful marble bathroom with layers of detail, which you can see in the use of the beading, moulding and skirting all in the same marble.”
As specialists in luxury and bespoke interiors with the highest quality finish, it was only natural that Michelle selected our Mizu and Aliseo marble for the scheme, combined in varying formats. “Artisans provided us with a stunning marble,” adds Michelle, “which comes with this variety of detail options, as well as the beautiful mosaic leaf detail we used as a feature in the shower.”
