The Luxe List14 May 2021
Here at Artisans of Devizes we love to share our passion for design as well as our go-to contacts for interior designers here in the UK. We have had the pleasure of working with so many great names as well as having the honour of helping new and upcoming brands, and we also keep our eye on those we have yet to collaborate with. We are so excited to share them with you here in our Luxe List – a directory and helpful resource to assist you in your next project.
Rachel Cropper Interior Design And Property Restoration
Specialising in the renovation and restoration of the interior design and architecture of private properties including listed buildings, Rachel’s work is renowned for her use of a sympathetic pared-back style with a refined quality, creative use of natural light and clever use of space.
Based in the Cotswold market town of Tetbury, Rachel Cropper Studio has worked on everything from a local townhouse renovation to a chic seaside retreat. The Devon holiday home in question is a contemporary new-build, for which Rachel selected Artisans of Devizes’ porcelain concrete-effect tiles, which perfectly set the tone for a seamless and welcoming interior.
In the Whitehouse Studio renovation, Rachel and her team transformed a run-down Grade II listed former artist’s studio into a traditional townhouse with a modern twist complete with Artisans’ products throughout.
We were also thrilled to work with Rachel on her design of contrasting his and hers shower spaces in a traditional period home. Her style is effortlessly sophisticated with a blend of subtlety and statement that is usually hard to pull off.
Hám Bespoke Interior Design And Build
A family-run studio launched by Nick, wife Pamela and son Tom Cox, HÁM Interiors offers a timeless, enduring design and build approach in the Home Counties, London and further afield. Daughter Kate is also part of the team and is the person to call on for exciting new designers and brands.
Whether it’s the supply of a single piece of must-have furniture or a complete interior design, the USP here is that the team focuses not only on the aesthetics but also on a scheme that feels right for their clients and their families, both now and in the future. They cover everything from architectural design and construction to spatial planning, landscaping, joinery and interiors, with expert knowledge and experience to help clients overcome the hurdles that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Their style includes keywords such as well-considered, comfortable and high-quality and the result is a portfolio of stunning projects that make you feel right at home.
We love the way they explore reclamation and salvage yards, antique and artisan markets and bric-a-brac stalls for one-off finds in lighting and decorative objects as well as their online shop, Studio HÁM. Their mix of British, French and eclectic style makes every project as unique as its owners.
Alexander James Interiors
As one of the leading interior design houses in the UK, Alexander James Interiors works with private clients, commercial partners and property developers to create interiors with exquisite charm and character, combining enduring elegance with a sophisticated, refined look. Projects range from a luxurious apartment at London’s Tower Bridge to a Cotswold barn conversion and each and every one is totally unique. The barn is one of our personal favourites, as its interior is inspired by the British countryside both inside and out and this is shown with the choice of colour palette, wallpaper, prints, fabrics and artwork.
Alexander James Interiors always work within their clients’ budget and timescale, taking time to discuss the brief in order to reach the concept stage where mood boards and samples are all proposed to demonstrate the luxurious finishes and touches that bring the whole scheme together. Their portfolio shows how skilfully the team blend a modern and classic aesthetic which is warm, welcoming and full of that five-star magic.
Eadie & Crole
Bringing together over 20 years of design experience, Sophie Eadie and Fi Crole share a mutual love of modern and timeless interiors and this is evident as soon as you see any one of their projects within their inspirational portfolio. Buzzwords for the duo include comfort, quality, tailored and unique. Working with architects, specialised artisans, craftsmen and workshops, their interiors always achieve a bespoke finish with custom-designed creativity.
The team have worked across London, the English countryside, South Africa, France and Germany and it’s this well-travelled aesthetic that makes their designs stand out. Based in Stoke, Hampshire, Eadie and Fi’s designs include everything from classic Shaker-style kitchens and elegant Edwardian drawing rooms to boutique bathrooms and grand entrance halls with rustic flagstone floors.
Caroline Paterson Interiors
Based in London’s Chelsea, Caroline Paterson Interiors are a versatile design studio who create both classic and contemporary schemes with interior architecture, joinery, bespoke furniture, rugs and lighting for both private and commercial clients here in the UK and abroad.
With a background in antiques and previous roles at Colefax & Fowler and Christies, Caroline Paterson is well versed in how to achieve an eclectic, versatile look for anything from new-builds and complete property restorations to the décor of a single room. Her portfolio includes the grand interiors of a Fitzrovia penthouse, Kensington apartment and Chelsea house; as well as a stunning Croatian villa, Alpine chalet and even a private yacht. Nothing is too great a task it seems, and we adore the way that each project appears totally different to the next. Elegant, effortless and enduring, the interiors are perfectly complemented to their surroundings and a true reflection of their owners’ desires.
