Trend Edit: Think Pink

8 November 2018

If you’re planning an interiors project right now, you want to make sure you’re one step ahead of next years’ colour trends. Pink, in all manner of gorgeous hues and tones, is set to continue into 2019 with everything from modest blush to a dusky rose and it’s one of those palettes that can work in any room and any style of interior.

Donna Philip (Artisans of Devizes Showroom Manager) is particularly a fan of blush pink, finding the shade “incredibly comforting and soft”, Donna remarked that “it works as a beautiful replacement to grey, without being overly bright”.

At Artisans of Devizes there are plenty of tiling options for both walls and floors to satisfy even the most design conscious. Check out the Bonheur ceramic tile in a delicate Rose finish and consider laying it in a herringbone or vertical pattern instead of the traditional horizontal layout. A pretty pink accent works wonderfully with the industrial look, which is also set to continue into 2019 in both bathrooms and kitchens. Team with natural timber furniture and matt black brassware and lighting for eye-catching contrast.

Bali Penny Porcelain Mosaic in Blush shows how striking these two trends can look when combined together. Fez Ceramic Rose Mallow meanwhile offers more of a Moroccan vibe with distressed tones to replicate individually handmade tiles, ideal as a feature wall or splashback in kitchens or bathrooms. For instant wow factor, the hexagonal shape of Lily Pad in Blush Rose can be rotated to create three entirely different designs.

When it comes to flooring, the trend for creating interest underfoot continues. Calacatta Candy Marble Honed extra large slabs for instance are ideal for flooring, vanity tops or any bespoke project that needs a subtle salmon-pink with delicate veining. Burano Porcelain Rose merges two trends in one, with pink tones and an Italian terrazzo feel in a choice of field or crisscross patterns while Floris Rose has a Victorian charm that’s perfect for period properties. If you prefer the Art Deco effect, take a peek at iconic designer Neisha Crosland’s encaustic Jigsaw Hopscotch pattern tile in Pomato Pink – understated glamour at its very best.

Think pink could be for you or a project you’re working on? Then our team would be more than happy to talk about the design options available with this beautiful and versatile colour palette.
