The Project
A stunning transformation at South Cottage, a Grade II listed thatched cottage in Oxfordshire. Working closely with architect Brian Tracey of Leslie Jones Architects, the Barr Build team carefully balanced heritage with modern living.
The renovation began with a two-story extension, followed by the addition of a striking oval-shaped glazed garden room, offering uninterrupted views of the original thatched cottage. Inside the cottage, Bergerac Satino limestone in a herringbone format adds timeless elegance, while bespoke walnut cabinetry and restored heritage features honour the property’s history. The result is a seamless blend of old and new.
