Bespoke treatment for a state-of-the-art lobby area.
Situated in the heart of Uxbridge, Belmont is a premium office block. The building offers the finest office space within a superbly convenient location.
Architects TP Bennett project-managed the refurbishment of the building, with the aim of making the unremarkable 1980s office block more contemporary.
A stunning, state-of-the-art reception area was a major part of the plan. Artisans of Devizes supplied more than 350 square metres of Waldorf Papyrus limestone. The limestone has inherent linear grey and white markings, reminiscent of wood planks.
TP Bennett ordered stone slabs custom-cut to 1.0 x 50 centimetres. For the lobby area, the slabs were honed to achieve a highly polished look yet had an added non-slip layer to create a hard-wearing floor.
Similarly, for the lift-cars, we provided slabs which were cut thin to reduce the weight of the stone. The slabs also needed to run flush with the lobby floor. Additionally, we supplied DDA compliant stair-treads.
