Working in partnership with Jane Duncan Architects & Interiors as their trusted stone and tile supplier, the design brief for this contemporary poolside project was to select a tile which styled well with the finished exposed concrete columns, walls and ceilings of the pool house. Not only did it have to look seamless, the chosen tile had to be appropriate for use underwater and have a slip resistance to suit the pool beach, entertainment area and changing rooms.
The Grande Porcelain Colombino tile was the perfect match for this project and ticked all the boxes for its demanding criteria, harmonising with the architecture of the room. By creating matching coping and demi bull nose profiling to the pool edge and steps within our workshop, we were able to create a smooth transition from land to water. Made even more seamless thanks to the tiled pool lining, giving a silent pool effect perfect for donning a pair of swim shorts or costume and plunging into.
